If you’re the type of person who beats other salespeople out of commission then you can’t be surprised when it happens to you. If you’re always shopping for the best deal, you can expect your prospects to do the same to you.

You sell how you buy.

If you’re a cheap buyer, you will expect others to be cheap buyers and you’ll sell accordingly. If you are always looking for a deal, trying to beat the system, and trying to get over on a salesperson, then you can expect your prospects and clients to do the same to you.

If you’re a laydown sale (like I am) and you hate telling other salespeople “no,” then you’ll find your prospects and clients will have a hard time saying “no” to you.

The mind gets what it focuses on.

If you focus on laydown sales, you’ll get a slew of them. If you focus on prospects who always want the lowest prices, that’s exactly who will show up to take you up on your product offer. You can’t be the guy who’s getting over on salesmen and then turn around and expect it not to happen to you.
