No matter how many times you hear the phrase “sales is a numbers game,” you’ll still feel the emotions of being on the sales roller coaster. Some days you’re up. Some days you’re down. And some days you break even. It’s all a part of the game we play and fun coupons are the trophy.

They say it takes thick skin to be a salesman, but really it takes a thick skull, too.

Sales is a drug. Like any other drug, after a while you become addicted. If you don’t get your high, you go through withdrawals. Like any addiction, when you’re having withdrawals and you can’t get your fix, you get depressed and out of your mind.

You’ve got to fight this feeling of not getting your fix. How you deal with hard times in sales dictates how you’ll perform on good days. You can’t let lack of sales f*ck with your head. You’ve got to get control of your emotions, and your addiction then act accordingly.
