EP 278- Amberly Lago, Speaker, Author, Serial Entrepreneur: Mastering Your Struggles

May 29, 2023I was at an event recently and there was a guy speaking on stage
claiming all the things he did while he was with a particular
company. The funny thing is, I was standing next to the very guy who
actually did the things the guy on stage was talking about for the
same company. 
He said, “That guy was there for maybe 5 minutes into the things
he’s talking about.”
I guess in the speaker’s mind, he was a huge part of
that. 
But, here’s my point: 
There are people like this I meet every single day. 
When I interview someone from Grant Cardone’s camp or Tony
Robbin’s camp, they’ll have you believe they were single-handly
responsible for all the growth they’ve experienced at various times
in their careers. 
The truth…..I pass on those people. 
Because I know, those people aren’t the ones who have done the
work consistently to create what those people have
created. 
I’ve had people that have left me do the same thing to me when
they’ve left.
I know cause I hear about it. 
But people like Tony Robbins, Grant Cardone, and me are still
going to win with or without them. 
Who I do hire are those who say, “Yes, I worked for this person.
In that time we did XYZ, and now I’m looking for something
different, a change of pace, etc.”
Listen closely to those who have taken the jobs, done the work,
and taken no credit for any of it. 
Those who are quick to take credit probably can’t explain how
they did beyond the first 5 minutes. 
If you earn the credit, they’ll truly give it to you.

May 26, 2023I got a saying in my life…..”Doing the work despite.”I don’t feel like going to the gym, but I always feel good after
going. 
I don’t always feel like working my ranch, but I always feel
good after putting in a hard day’s work. 
Those of us who do the work despite whether we’re doing too
much…..
Despite what our family tells us………
It’s our job to go out and find a reason to do the work despite
not wanting to. 
Most people will live a life of regret as opposed to doing the
work that’s required despite the fact they don’t want to do
it. 
You have a chance every single day to do the work. 
The result at the end of doing what you don’t want to do is that
you’ll find the true worth of everything you want in
life. 
Do the work. 
Get the results. 
Live a magnificent life!

client. They’re just picking up the phone going to networking events,
and trying to stay afloat. 
But what if they were able to dial in who their perfect client
was: 
Where do they hang out? 
What do they do in their spare time?
The best way to do this is to give your ideal client a
name. 
What do they look like? 
Where do they shop? 
Start focusing on everything about this person and then start
crafting your message around who this person is.
The law of focus dictates that you get what you focus
on. 
Have you ever bought a car and then all of a sudden you see that
car everywhere? 
It happens naturally. 
This process works for relationships, too. 
Create a punch list of who your ideal client is and get to
work. 
And then watch them show up!
