ReWire 127: We All Judge Other People

Jun 9, 2023There’s a disease in this country and it’s
short-sightedness.  They don’t understand the long-term ramifications of short-term
stupid decisions. 
Over the years, I’ve invested a ton of money with a lot of
different people. 
With short-term success come temptations. 
It happens in investing. 
Some of my investments didn’t pan out.  
Others have. 
There are things in life people are wanting short-term success
in without having to do the work. 
Most people aren’t willing to wait for the long-term gains
because they’re thinking of that “today success.” 
True success is a compound effort.  
You have to build up to it. 
Do the right things now. 
Be patient. 
Create a vision and plan for long-term success. 
It’s a compound effect if you’re not trying to short-term
it.

Jun 8, 2023Life is always sending you unexpected surprises. Death. 
Unexpected bills. 
Unresolved traumas that pop up on you. 
Suprise injuries. 
How you deal with stress dictates your success. 
Back in 2019, I had an unexpected series of things happen that
created a ton of distress for me. 
I was life flighted after breaking my neck in an ATV
accident. 
It almost took my life.
During that time, I had to take a good look at how I was
communicating with my clients, employees, and my family. 
I had to get better at directing my team. 
Thankfully, I had a great team at the time that helped me get
through a major time of distress. 
Back in 2014, I came home to an empty home. 
My ex-wife had cleaned me out and divorced me. 
But if that hadn’t happened, I wouldn’t have met my now wife,
Amy, with whom I started a family, and had two more wonderful
children in addition to hers and mine. 
Remember, the struggle makes you stronger.  
It’s there for you, not against you. 
Every time I’ve encountered struggle and distress, my life has
worked out for the best. 
Remember that when you get caught in the struggle.
Things are always working out in your favor whether you know it
or not.

companies. People tell me have some amazing people.
I’ve been told this over the last 7 or 8 years of my
life. 
They ask me how I get their team to be like mine. 
They tell me they’re overpaid and lazy. 
The secret is people. 
Sure, KPIs are important, data, sales, and marketing, but what
really makes the team good is the bigger picture. 
Some people don’t care about money. 
They care about the purpose. 
The mission. 
For us in Apex, it’s supposed to help as many individuals become
the most elite versions of themselves. 
When you get your employees and your team bought in on that
level, the culture is unstoppable.
