There is a ton of information on blogs out here on the web. We have to be careful what information sources we trust. To help you get a good understanding of who I trust, I made a list of my top 5 favorite marketing blogs of 2012. These are the sources I trust when I comes to new ideas and software updates. I look to these blogs as guidance to what is to come and what is working now. I thought it would only be fair to share them with you. My top 5 favorite marketing blogs. Be sure to check them out but don’t forget about the person who turned you on to them ;-) Number 5: Seth’s Blog. Seth Godin is an undeniable thought leader in todays entrepreneurial environment. Many of today’s marketing gurus started out by reading “The Purple Cow” or “Tribes” these books changed the way millions of people, including myself market our goods and services. Seth is pretty good about blogging every day. He does not have to write long posts for SEO, he simply puts profound thoughts out there and people come to him for more.
Number 4: CopyBlogger. CopyBogger has over 170,000 email subscribers and growing. This blog is all about blogs ironically enough. The CopyBlogger crew has invented wordpress themes and regularly give great advice on how to maintain your blog with the best content. Not to mention the fact that you get exposed to killer copywriting every time you read a post.
Number 3: UnMarketing. UnMarketing is the brainchild of Scott Stratten. This blog is dedicated 100% to keeping it real in the marketing world. Scott has over 60 million views on his videos and a huge twitter following. This blog is where he brings no BS, Slap you in the face, truths to the online marketing world. It’s packed full of priceless information that is never a dull moment.
Number 2: Duct Tape Marketing. The main blogger and chief of this whole operation is John Jantsch. He, much like the others on this list, is a no BS marketer. Duct Tape Marketing signifies the type of marketing that is the “throw it agains the wall and see if it sticks” method. The whole purpose of this blog is to give you a marketing purpose. This way you can formulate a plan and not just “see if it works”
Number 1: Social Media Examiner. Michael Stelzner is always on top of the latest trends in social media. By social media I mean all of social media. Not just the big three. This site is my starting point for the latest trends and updates that are happening in the land of social media.
