Here’s Why You Need To Make Money, Not Save It.

Have you ever had someone tell you that you should save your money?

Chances are you have, and chances are even higher that the person who gave you that advice didn’t have a lot of money.

Now, I’m not a financial guru but I grew up with two parents who were both accountants and constantly preached their scarcity mindset to me. So you can imagine the work I had to do on my mindset when I got into sales that enabled me to go out and get what I’m worth.

I’m not telling you to spend your hard earned commission checks carelessly. What I am saying is that you’ll never achieve an abundant lifestyle if your plan is to save your way there. You may not realize it yet, but you’re actually a money-printing machine. You can have as much of it or as little of it as you want. You determine how much you have through the mindset you choose, the actions you take, and the investments you make.

When you have the right mindset, you’ll take action and invest in what will get you an ROI. That’s how you win. So the real question is this:

Do You Believe You’re Worth It?

It may sound like a simple question but it’s one of the hardest questions to answer. Most of us weren’t fed positive messages of what we could become when we were growing up. Instead, we were constantly told what our limitations were by others who couldn’t achieve what we’re now setting out to do.

You damn sure don’t get into sales to make average money or live an average lifestyle.

You can have security or opportunity. Rarely do you get to have both.

Think of it like this…

If you’re trying to win a game, the goal is to score as many points as possible, right? In life, the points are your income, and that means you need a strong offense. Investing in yourself and other avenues to create an unstoppable offense is what wins games.

Only after you’ve set up your offense will saving money work as your defense. But without an offense, you’ll never win this game we call life. The best part about investing in yourself is you’re guaranteed an ROI and the government can’t tax it.

The two most important offensive skill sets you can have are

1. The ability to generate leads, and..

2. The ability to close sales.

When you pair those two together you’ll become the “Lebron James” of business.

And just like Lebron, you’ve gotta do the work, get the reps in, and be consistent in your craft. Imagine what your life could look like if you combined those skill sets with an abundance mindset.

Do you think you could add a couple more zeros to the end of your paycheck?

Do the work and go get what you’re worth.

Until Next Time.
