The best part about running an online business is that it’s online.

The worst part about running an online business is that it’s, well… online.

As the world was forever changed by the pandemic, the second gold rush began with the frenzy to convert to an online business model.

Competition is at an all time high and the barrier to entry is low making it noisier than ever for online business owners.

But what if I told you that you could harness this to your favor?

What if you could add new clients every single month like clock work?

And what if you could do it without spending a single dollar on paid advertising or sliding into hundreds of people’s DMs unsolicited?

If you’re still reading, good. I’m gonna give you the plan for how this works and all you have to do is do the work.

5 Steps To Attraction Marketing.

So, before I break down the 4 steps for pulling in the right clients and repelling the wrong ones, I need you to know something. There are no short cuts to this and each step builds off of the previous one.

If you complete each step consistently, you’ll start seeing clients banging on your “DM door” within 90 days, worst-case. I give you worst-case because rarely are results worst-case and rarely are they best-case. They’re typically something in the middle. So let’s get started.

Step one is getting extremely clear on who you want to serve. There’s a saying, “the riches are in the niches” and it’s a saying because it’s true. Everyone wants to work with the “expert” in whatever it is they need. Think about it like this: if you had a plumbing issue would you want a general contractor or a plumber to talk to? Most likely it would be a plumber, right? That’s because the plumber is the expert at solving your specific issue. The same goes with lead generation for your specific niche. The easiest way to get clear on who you want to serve is to interview your top clients and so you can discover who they are, what they want, and what their current challenges are. This information will serve as the foundation for everything.

Step two is crafting your attractive character, which serves as your “digital handshake”. When we meet someone in person, they form their opinion of whether they like us or not within a matter of seconds. The same goes for meeting others online with how you craft your social profiles. Your profile should clearly demonstrate who you are, what you do, and more importantly, why you do it. People only care about how much you know until they know how much you care. Craft your picture choices and bio with this in mind.

Step three is crafting your offer. Your offer is something you can give away for free that provides massive up-front value to your ideal client. There are tons of ways to do this but I’m going to share what I’ve seen work like gangbusters. Video training that educates your ideal client on how to get a quick win or solve a problem will pay for itself in spades. It sets the tone for you as the authority and it builds know, like, and trust with your potential clients. After your video training, you can move them to the next step of your sales process which is most likely a phone call where you consult them on how your company or service can help them.

Once you have your offer in place, your goal is to position it so it’s attractive to your ideal client. A simple formula that works like gangbusters is, “How to get X without having to do Y”, X being what they want and Y being what they don’t want. Get clear on the X and the Y and watch your pipeline start to grow.

Step four is crafting your marketing message and the system to deliver that message. You should look at your social media like it’s a TV show and you’re the producer. Your job is to entertain, educate, and add value to your ideal client. When you do that you earn the right to run what I call a “commercial”. That commercial is your offer. The easiest way to blend these two together is the 80/20 rule. 80% of your posts are your show and 20% are your commercials. So, if you post 4 times a day that’s 3 posts that entertain, educate, and add value while 1 post is your offer to generate leads. Run this play every day and watch your pipeline start to grow.

Step five is growing your audience. You could have the cure to cancer but if you only have one Facebook friend then who’s gonna ever know about it? Now there are tons of ways to grow your audience but I promised you I’d tell you how to do it without spending a single dime. The best way is through Facebook groups. See, there’s this crazy thing called a search bar where you can use key words to find groups where all your ideal clients are hanging out. The more you think outside the box the better groups you’ll find with less competition. Focus on building relationships through the same marketing strategy I listed before and become the hero in that group. You’ll become the authority, start being tagged in posts with people looking for exactly what you do, and your follower count will grow.

Now if you’re thinking you don’t have time to do this then I’m going to say you’re too busy to be successful then.

You can do all of this with just a couple of hours a work a day and each day you do it the more it compounds over time. As you grow, you’ll scale and there are tons of ways to do it. But if you don’t have the fundamentals down then I guarantee you’re leaving opportunity on the table.

Do the work and go get what you’re worth.

Until next time,
