These days we are all forced to make our sales online. Before March of 2020, you had choices when it came to where and how you closed prospects. Now, it’s all online because no one will go within 6 feet of you. #SocialDistancing
This is a good thing for salespeople. Many of you are too got damn hard-headed to realize it, but I’m telling you it’s the best thing that could have ever happened to you if you choose to do the work.
I’ve worked in sales my entire life. From 1994 until the present day. In 1994 I was selling car washes face to face. In 2003 I got a job selling mortgages. I still did it face to face. I went to seminars and met investors for coffee and shit like that.
In 2008, I got a job at an internet lead-based mortgage company. That shit changed my life. Every day I’d show up at the office and there would be about 10-15 leads from the internet, sitting in my inbox, just waiting for me to contact them. It was a complete game-changer for me.
In 2010, I started out on my own generating leads from social media. No one thought what I was doing was possible. But I knew the internet was the new face to face and the best place to get warm leads who wanted to talk to me.
Flash forward and on a bad day, we do $10k in online sales in just one of my businesses. Another one of my businesses does 8 figures a month, all from the internet. I even sit on the board of a company I have ownership in that does 30,000+ sales a day, all from the internet.
There’s nothing like the internet when it comes to getting leads, making sales and earning commission checks. I’m gonna break down how I do it and how you can easily duplicate what I do for damn near free.
First, you gotta know who you want to do business with. If you don’t know your ideal prospect, you need to get that locked in. Some people fail online because they want rich prospects but their message resonates with poor people.
Now that you know WHO you want to sell to, you have to dial in WHAT you are going to say to get them engaged. For example, I sell to successful business owners.
I know they want inspiration first thing in the morning, and entertainment in the afternoon. It’s not rocket science.
After you get the above-noted pieces dialed in, you need to position your offers properly. This means for every 5th post you make, the 6th needs to be about what you sell, who you help or how you help people.
For example, let’s break it down like this:
Post #1 – Something motivational
Post #2 – Something funny
Post #3 – Something about family
Post #4 – Something funny again
Post #5 – Something people are talking about
Post #6 – A story about a client you helped
You don’t want to make 6 posts on social media per day. That’s just too much in my opinion. You want to make between 1-3 posts a day. This means you can only talk about work or make offers every other day.
The thing is when you do this regularly the people start to know you, like you and trust you. This leads to people hitting you up for your help in the DM and in the comments.
This works on Linkedin, Instagram, Facebook, and pretty much anywhere. After a period fo time and consistently posting, you will have people coming to you on a daily basis asking if you can help them.
From there, after you help them, even if you can’t, you ask for referrals of people they know who you can help. This keeps a steady flow of new leads and referrals from those leads in your inbox.
On top of that, you need to follow up with everyone who hits you up every other day. The referrals, the prospects, and the people you’re posting for.
The next thing to do that works really well is the Lucky 7 Method. It works like this:
Every day, 7 days a week, you leave one comment on a prospect’s post, send a prospect a follow-up or new message on the DM, and lastly write on a prospects wall.
But these aren’t sales pitches, they are friendly chats checking in, congratulating them, etc. This builds online rapport and keeps you top of mind.
All this may sound too simple, but it’s not easy. After you do it for 60-90 days you will have a lot of people you’re in contact with and a lot of typing to do. That creates a compound effect that can lead to $1000 or more in sales commissions a day.
How do I know?
I have done this with products that I sell for $49, $99, $499, $999, and more. It works, I’ve proved it and now you need to prove it to yourself. Follow the instructions I gave you, don’t quit and you WILL find yourself earning $1000 or more a day from online leads.
