As I put in the work over the years, people have seen me climb
up the ladder of success.
With it, comes people who want some of your sunshine, the
benefits of your hard work.
They’ve wanted to partner in business, start a podcast, or get
on my stages to speak.
The truth is, there’s nothing more unnerving than someone asking
for a handout, but especially from people who haven’t done the work
necessary to achieve the same results.
We all have the same opportunity to have whatever it is we want
and when we put ourselves in a position to ask for something from
someone else, we lower ourselves.
All of the stages I got invited to speak on were not because I
chased those opportunities.
Do you think Eminem chased down Dr. Dre for an opportunity to be
on his record label?
No.
He did the work, busted his ass and got discovered by
Dre.
If you want something, you have to work for it first.
But begging your way in is no way to win.
