Well, well, well, it’s that time of year again when for some odd reason people decide to make life altering decisions that they stick to for a couple of weeks. I’m not trying to be too condescending but at the same time I’m keeping it real.
That’s what I get paid to do, is keep it real. I’m the guy who is not afraid to hold a person accountable for their word. I’m the guy people pay to tell them what they are doing wrong. In order for me to be the best at what I do, I have to keep it real. It would be easy for me to stroke my clients, friends and family members egos’ about how great they are. The truth is, they are all great and they know it. That is why I have chosen to have them in my life. While it is easier to talk about the good and pump someone up, I focus on the lack. Notice I did not say I focus on the bad, I said I focus on the lack.
The things people lack, often times they don’t even know they lack them. Some people go about life doing things the hard way and operate from a sphere of scarcity. They fear that they will lose something if they invest because ultimately they don’t believe in themselves. Everyone has the ability to produce results, what everyone does not have, is the ability to take correction, receive direction, and stay focused. Bright and shiny objects can be a bitch! This week’s edition of Ryan’s Rants is brought to you by the man of many talents Garrett Finkestein. Garrett is a good friend of mine that kicks ass at video. He was nice enough to record some footage for me and this week’s rant is a part of that footage.
In this week’s rant I talk about why you should make your new years goal to just freaking do something. Why wait a week or so to get started. Why not set your goals and map out your plans for the new year now, and then have all of that ready to go? Don’t wait, you can start to create the habit of action if you will make moves now. I can’t tell you how important it is to understand this statement: “You have to act your way into a feeling because you will never feel your way into action” – Keith Craft Enjoy the rant and Merry Christmas…
