ReWire 338: Serve In Silence

Sep 21, 2023I’m going to tell you a very powerful Bible story in this
episode. It’s from Matthew Chapter 13. 
This story is going to show you the parable for life. 
You’re going to start some businesses. 
Some will not have enough soil, but it’s going to sprout
up. 
You’re going to start a relationship only for it to end 6 months
later. 
You’ll start another business and maybe it will grow to 30, 60
or 100 times what it was.  
In life, you have to keep planting seeds. 
Move forward. 
If something doesn’t sprout and thrive, let it be and move to
the next place, but do not stop sowing the seeds. 
Sow every field with love and they will grow and love you
back.

Sep 20, 2023My pastor Keith Craft told me, “If you’ll do more than you’re
paid for, you’ll be paid for more than you do.”I’ve never had an hourly job as an adult.  
I’ve always worked on commission and was always willing to eat
what I killed. 
I’ve always worked more than what I was paid for. 
When I was in prison, I was getting after it on the
yard. 
The boss on the yard called me over and said, “You were out
there working your ass off.  Are you on drugs?”
I said, “No.” 
He said, “Starting tomorrow you’re going to take everyone over
to the yard to work tomorrow on the tractor.” 
I had to fight a couple of guys and got sent to solitary
confinement because they thought I snitched on someone to get the
job. 
I did this in the mortgage industry too. Everyone started work
at 10 am. 
I’d be there at 8 am putting in the work and making more money
than some of those guys who had been there five or 10
years. 
Here’s the lesson……..
Do more than you’re paid for and you’ll be paid for more than
you do.

Sep 19, 2023I’ve won big and lost big. I know you have, too. 
When we get to the top, we get scared of possibly having to
start over from scratch. 
When we get scared, we fall into a scarcity mindset. 
What do you think is attracting these results to you? 
I’ve watched people ride their own waves to
destruction. 
Their ego, pride, or greed got in the way. 
So many people have tried the same thing over and over again
expecting different results. 
People make bad decisions when they’re stressed, pressed, and
tested. 
Usually, it’s not wanting help from others.
Being unwilling to admit defeat. 
Not being willing to start over again. 
One thing I will tell you is, there’s always a way to keep that
from happening. 
It starts with being clear about your willingness to start over
if necessary. 
If not, it’s time to do what you’re doing, but doing it
differently.
