ReWire 406: The Thing We Desire The Most We Give Away

May 31, 2023People are always looking for a place to meet “the
winners.” Those who are motivated.
Driven. 
Those with integrity. 
The way I do it is doing something called, “Building Your
Machine.”
It takes time, consistency, persistence, and a whole lot of
patience. 
You’ve gotta work your face off to meet winners these
days. 
I used to be able to slide into DMs, but since everyone has a
Blue check, people are a little more particular. 
If you want to meet driven, motivated people, go to the gym
first thing in the morning. 
Those that wake up and torture themselves first thing in the
morning, are a different breed of people. 
They are driven beyond measure. 
More than motivated. 
They crush their bodies. 
Crush it in business. 
And these are the people that do this on the daily. 
I used to work out at the Cowboy Gym in Frisco and I paid $100 a
month. 
Those people are a different breed. 
I took the time to get to know those people. 
I’d look for any opportunity to get to know their
names. 
Spot them on machines. 
If you want to meet somebody motivated and driven, and crush the
world alongside you, your new best friend is waiting for you at the
gym early in the morning.

Big.” I should’ve read that book a long time ago. 
I used to think $100,000 a year was a lot of money until I got
around people making $1,000,000 a year. 
For guys like Warren Buffet or Bill Gates, if they drop a
hundred dollar bill on the ground, it’s better for them to keep
walking because of how much it would cost them to bend over and
pick it up. 
When I started including people in my circle who are on the
Forbes list, verified, and certified, I started upping my
thinking. 
What I thought was “Big” increased exponentially. 
in this episode, I’m going to share a story with you from a
friend of mine who has built, bought, sold, and exited companies to
the tune of 9-figures.

May 29, 2023I was at an event recently and there was a guy speaking on stage
claiming all the things he did while he was with a particular
company. The funny thing is, I was standing next to the very guy who
actually did the things the guy on stage was talking about for the
same company. 
He said, “That guy was there for maybe 5 minutes into the things
he’s talking about.”
I guess in the speaker’s mind, he was a huge part of
that. 
But, here’s my point: 
There are people like this I meet every single day. 
When I interview someone from Grant Cardone’s camp or Tony
Robbin’s camp, they’ll have you believe they were single-handly
responsible for all the growth they’ve experienced at various times
in their careers. 
The truth…..I pass on those people. 
Because I know, those people aren’t the ones who have done the
work consistently to create what those people have
created. 
I’ve had people that have left me do the same thing to me when
they’ve left.
I know cause I hear about it. 
But people like Tony Robbins, Grant Cardone, and me are still
going to win with or without them. 
Who I do hire are those who say, “Yes, I worked for this person.
In that time we did XYZ, and now I’m looking for something
different, a change of pace, etc.”
Listen closely to those who have taken the jobs, done the work,
and taken no credit for any of it. 
Those who are quick to take credit probably can’t explain how
they did beyond the first 5 minutes. 
If you earn the credit, they’ll truly give it to you.
