ReWire 587: You May Get A Second Chance But You Won’t Get A Third Or Fourth

Jun 2, 2023I see a lot of parents.  I see a lot of their children and the way they act. 
Every day, I remind my children that their name means
something.  
Your name means something, too. 
Your children have to understand there is a responsibility that
comes with their name. 
Who they are. 
What they do. 
The way they act. 
I see how some children act and it’s disturbing. 
They talk back to their parents. 
Don’t pick up after themselves in public. 
As a parent, I have to demonstrate high love and
discipline. 
Teach them the rules of the world before the world teaches them
a few lessons. 
Being friends with your children doesn’t come until later when
they’re in their 20s and 30s. 
Teach them what they need to know about the power and
responsibility that comes with carrying their family
name. 
There have to be some great successes in your family. 
I’m sure if you’re listening to this, you’re one of
them. 
You have greatness in you. 
Teach your children about that same greatness so they can carry
it through their childhood and become upstanding adults.

Jun 1, 2023As we level up in our lives and society, there are some people
we can’t take with us. We call them Barrys. 
I used to be a Barry.  
The guy who would drink too much, smoke too much, or do some
unpredictable shit in public. 
You can’t have people like that around you as you walk through
the levels of life. 
“Barry” can’t go in and have a high-level discussion with CEOs
of different companies to discuss business. 
Our fun friend Barry would say obnoxious things that would
stifle relationships. 
For the Barrys of the world, you can be chaotic, but it’s better
to be predictable chaos. 
When I go out in public with Amy, we’re predictable
chaos. 
We’re not going to pass out from being drunk. 
Cuss someone out. 
Or throw a punch. 
If you’re a Barry, or know a Barry, stick to one drink or
drug. 
Don’t mix. 
It’s no made for the weak.

May 31, 2023People are always looking for a place to meet “the
winners.” Those who are motivated.
Driven. 
Those with integrity. 
The way I do it is doing something called, “Building Your
Machine.”
It takes time, consistency, persistence, and a whole lot of
patience. 
You’ve gotta work your face off to meet winners these
days. 
I used to be able to slide into DMs, but since everyone has a
Blue check, people are a little more particular. 
If you want to meet driven, motivated people, go to the gym
first thing in the morning. 
Those that wake up and torture themselves first thing in the
morning, are a different breed of people. 
They are driven beyond measure. 
More than motivated. 
They crush their bodies. 
Crush it in business. 
And these are the people that do this on the daily. 
I used to work out at the Cowboy Gym in Frisco and I paid $100 a
month. 
Those people are a different breed. 
I took the time to get to know those people. 
I’d look for any opportunity to get to know their
names. 
Spot them on machines. 
If you want to meet somebody motivated and driven, and crush the
world alongside you, your new best friend is waiting for you at the
gym early in the morning.
