Look, the bullshit that got you here isn’t going to get you to where you want to go. Whatever brought you to this website, reading this article is based on your past choices. Even though there are a handful of valuable things, you’ve learned that you want to keep for future use, more than 90% of your experiences until now are designed to keep you stuck in a rut of mediocrity.
Sorry, not sorry, because it’s true.
See, most people spend their entire lives justifying why they’re a victim. When feeling sorry for yourself doesn’t work, you resort to ignoring the problem, making fun of the situation, or getting angry at the trial. Nine times out of ten, you actually think that other people are the problem.
It just isn’t true.
Even if other people ARE the problem, too many spend time investing in convincing that person of the error of their ways, justifying their own position, or happily locked in a stalemate.
One straightforward reason, your friggin’ EGO!
Most people aren’t intentional enough about getting REAL results and accomplishing real goals in life. Most don’t believe they can actually have them, haven’t clearly defined them, or are afraid of what that reality might mean.
But that ISN’T you, is it?!?
You want to blow through the bullshit and overcome to become, don’t you?
I’d go further to say that if you had a shortlist of habits that could get you there, you’d get to work doing them because you want what you want so badly, you don’t care what it takes.
Am I right?
Good, I’m here to tell you not to skip over what I’m going to share then just because it’s so simple. In fact, it’s so simple that it’s actually HARD for most people!
It’s hard because it requires steadfast discipline.
Let me explain:
When it hurts more to stay the way you are than where you want to be, you’ll change. Use that to your advantage. Start by taking stock of how much time you deal with the drama your habits create and how much time diverts you away from what you really want.
As you bring this to the front of your awareness, you’ll begin to be reminded each time an activity occurs that is wasting your time or keeping you from working toward your goals.
You’ll set yourself up for the “Boss Level,” too. This is THE test you’ve been painstakingly working to have so you can move on with newer levels of clarity and the ability to have the moves to always defeat that enemy if it rears its ugly head again.
Just know that BOSS will try its best to trip you up by getting you to react instead of respond. Somehow, when you know this, it makes it easier to play chess with it instead of checkers. It gives you the power to win, even when all seems lost.
If you keep using this formula, you’ll continue to scale up the mountain, winning along the way.
Just remember, you can always ask yourself the question, “do I want to be right, or do I want to win?” How you CHOOSE to respond will tell you all you need to know about which matters most to you!
I’ll see you in the trenches.
