Hey everyone, I’m not usually one to talk about financials, but I realize that this is a group of business owners and aspiring entrepreneurs…and encouragement through success is what #ringingthebell is all about.

So I want to share some encouragement.

First, today is my birthday. I’m 46, and in the month of October, I closed $558,000 in business so far (I still have 2 days). Best month so far, and as they say “once the 4 minute mile has been broken…”

But to me, that’s NOT the best part of the story. Here’s what is:

I owned a business before the recession for 13 years…then one day, I didn’t. I lost my shit, got divorced, moved 800 miles away from everyone I’ve ever known and got a job. I closed for 3 years as the #1 salesman for an ungrateful owner and spent my nights learning about this little thing called “internet marketing”. It’s where I eventually met Stewman and watched him overcome to become.

I hated that job so bad that I literally would have sweaty palms. I was $300k in debt, selling high end remodeling to “successful” families in New England with a southern accent…and I felt like a complete loser.

I started making money online, and the owner found out. He fired me on Jan 3, 2012…he had a “no moonlighting” policy.

I dug into selling online, made good $, kept learning. I have this little company called #ThinktoSucceed.

In 2015, I started a remodeling company again…and this year, we’re doing 7 figures.

In 1 year, we’ve tripled our sales because I was able to combine what I’ve learned online with the offline marketplace. It isn’t even fair because most offline businesses don’t know how to market online and usually spend a ton of cash to be vanilla at best in their marketplace, when you and I know that everyone is just screaming for authenticity today…and it isn’t hard to show if you have a little bit of creativity…and smart people around you.

I say all of this, not to brag. I’m in the company of giants here, so I’d be silly to do so.

I say this because if I can do it, you can too.

It hasn’t been easy, and I don’t suspect it ever will be…that’s part of being elite is all about. Leaning into the suck and being a warrior.

To me, it isn’t about the bling, size of the office, house, or stuff I collect.

It’s about the lives I change…the lives you change, and the ever increasing resources we’re given as proof that we can change more.

So, if you’re not where you want to be right now, if ringing the bell isn’t on your to do list today…if you’re falling for that ego trap of comparing yourself to anyone else and feel like you’re coming up short…don’t give up!

‘Cause I look forward to cheering you for NOT giving up and clapping loudly when you do ring it. To me, it’s entrepreneurial encouragement at its finest and if you’re in here, you’ve already made a choice. So go get what’s yours!
