It is easy to see; you become who you hang out with and spend your time with.

We have all heard the saying “you are the five people you surround yourself with.”

That means you make the same money, use the same words, speak with the same accent and share the same mannerisms.

A major flaw humans face once we commit to another person we will stick with that person through thick and thin. Need proof, take a look at people who stay in abusive relationships.

Owning up and admitting you need a new circle of friends can be a challenge because doing so you have to admit to yourself that you were wrong from the gate by choosing to be friends with these individuals.

So how does one know that they are running with the wrong circle?

If you are asking that question you are in luck because that is the topic of this episode of THC Podcast.

Your boy Ryan Stewman is going to show you how to tell if you need to switch up your circle of friends or not.

5 Ways You Can Tell If You Need New Friends

Only Give Negative Advice

Ever notice on Facebook for example that when someone posts a status announcing they got a new job or are going back to school the engagement level and positive comments come pouring in.

Now, think about posts you have seen where people are announcing they decided to start their own business or get into the real estate game. The results on that status post are most likely the complete opposite.

When you are an entrepreneur or salesperson the rest of the 40 hours, a week crowd always tend to give negative advice or feedback.

Your boy Ryan Stewman shows you how to handle these naysayers that are disguised as your friends.

They Don’t Do What You Do

Do any of your friends do what you do?

If you are the most successful person you know/hang with, it is time to find a new crowd.

When you are in sales, you are most likely passionate about what you do you love to talk shop. Who are you going to talk shop with if none of your friends do what you do?

Learn how Ryan Stewman was able to break away from his so-called friends that were not in sales or trying to grow a company.

All They Want To Do Is Party

Ok, so to keep it real who doesn’t like to party? However, there is a time and a place for everything and if you are laser focused and on a mission for success it is not the time for partying.

Those friends that are calling you up to go out and tear up the club scene, and then get mad when you politely decline to stay on your grind got to go.

If these so called, friends don’t get you and your mission someone else will.

In this THC Podcast episode, Ryan will show you where to find these friends.

Try To Guilt You For Always Working

Any individual who claims to be your friend but will turn around and give you grief and try to guilt you for always working is not a friend.

These imposters posing as your friends will tell you that you are wasting your time or you that you need to stop and smell the roses are as deadly as a disease.

The earlier along your journey to success that you can unearth these imposters the better.  Get rid of them and get rid of them fast.

Learn in this episode how to hone in and expose these fake friends early on so you can cut them loose.

They Are Broke

I must with the late hip-hop legend Notorious B.I.G. that “giving ends to my friends and it feels stupendous” but when is enough enough?

If you are always the one picking up the tabs it won’t take long for you to realize you around the wrong people. What is wrong with these people is they are broke.

Remember you are who you hang out with so if everyone around you is broke, it probably won’t be long until you are broke as well.

Avoid that fiasco by filtering out these friends and replace them with ones who have a high network.

Find out how and where you can connect with high net worth individuals that will pull you up with them as opposed to dragging you down with them.

You Want Friends With Experience, Knowledge, And Success

It is easy to find friends to party with or friends that have no issues with you always picking up the tab.

What you need to focus on is finding friends that are experiencing success and can give you valuable advice and direction.

You want friends that push you and support you in your quest to accomplish your goals and reach success are the ones you want in your life. Not the so-called friends that do the complete opposite.

No one says it is easy to cut ties with people who have been around you your whole life, but what’s it going to be? Either you can take control of your success or get sucked down and remain average with your homies?
